I'm a sucker for ice. I bought an ice tray from Saizen that can make round and diamond shaped ice. I really like the round ice. I tried taking pictures of it but I couldn't hold the ice that long.

This is actually a wrong out take but when I reviewed it in my computer, I really love this photo. It's so dramatic when it's actually just a piece of ice.
This is how it really looks like.

I am a person who gets bored easily so I always bring stuff to so when idle comes something keeps me preoccupied. Besides the usual gadgets I always bring around my pencil case and a notebook. I also tend to go overboard most of the time so I have to
set boundaries. So here are items that I need (as much as I want to bring all my coloring materials all the time I have to limit myself to essentials).

1. Artline Calligraphy Pen Pt. 1 - this pen is with me for a long time. I can't even remember how many years but believe or not it still works. I love this because it has chiseled tip. I also have a version in Pt. 3 but this is more useful. It has the right broadness to easily fill in gaps but not to much that I still have control.
2. Faber Castel Mechanical eraser - I like this more rather than the usual rectangular one's. I have more control since its not that big.
3. Uni Pin Fine Line - Pt. 0.05, 0.2, 0.3, 0.5, 0.5 -I can't live without my felt tip pens! Ever since I was introduced with these in college. I didn't want to use any other pen. I have different points so when I am doing drawings I can easily control the width. I love the 0.05. this point is not so common. I love that I can do tini tiny lines with this!
4. Crayola Pip Squeaks - Black, medium gray and light gray. With my Christmas bonus I bought 32 marker set but I can't bring everything with me all the time so I just chose the neutrals.
5. Staedtler 6B pencil - this is a very soft lead pencil. I use this for shading.
6. Stabillo Exam Grade 2- I love using because it's just right. It's not soft like the 6B's or not as hard and harsh as HB's. This is my general go to pencil. So I always replace this since this is the most overused pencil.
7. Faber Castel Pencil in 2B and HB- like my pens I like pencils in different varieties.
8. Stabillo point 88 - black, gray and light gray -I also have 20 pieces set of these but I also only packed the neutrals
9. HTC blue ballpen- Even with fancy shmancy pens I still need a normal blue ball pen and this one I got from an event.

Not all artists bring these stuff. Most of the time I do my work digitally but I still want to dabble in traditional art. So when I'm on the go the most accesible art form for me is pen and ink.

So what's in your pencil case?

I think it is time revamp my blog. I know I have a tendency of abandoning a blog and creating a new one. As tempting as that may sound to me I have made a promise that I will stick to this blog no matter what. So instead of opening a new blog I have decided to redesign the look instead.

The template design is not really made by me. I admit I suck at coding so I got a very nice free template from www.puglypixel.com and made customized it. The template is named Lemon Meringue you can get the template here

I used to be a prolific and courageous blogger. I blog anything under the sun and didn't think twice. Somehow getting older makes me think about what should and what I should NOT put out in the internet. I realized that quality is also very important. This will still be my personal blog but I will try not to focus so much about me. I will write more about my art, my work, my dreams, my inspirations and anything that I think could be helpful.

This will not be a serious blog. So I will try to be candid, funny (good luck to me!) but also be informative.

It's 2012! They say it will be the end of the world...and somehow it's also an end for me. It's the last year of my twenties. So I WILL chronicle my last year as a Twenteen!

I will end my post with a greeting "Kong Hei Fat Choi!

Starting my 2012 with a Cup of Coffee

I woke up today to a cloudy weather but that does not mean that I should be in bed all day. I got up and promised myself that I would start the year with productivity! What is the best way to perk up my day a cup of coffee! Last year a splurged on a bag of good coffee but when I got home I could not find the coffee maker! Fortunately my friend Honeyel saw my Mom's French press. I don't think my bought it for coffee. I am the only one in the family who drinks coffee. I think she bought it for decorating purposes. So my coffee make problem was solved.

Yesterday I tried experimenting and my first attempt the coffee was watery. Today finally got it right!

After having a quick breakfast I got the New Year cake, and pieces of chocolate! I know I am starting my day filled with caffein induced hyperactivity!

End of 2011

Another year is ending and a new one is just a day away. Here I am thinking about the year that has passed. I know I have not blogged enough. This year has been full of tribulations but also full of blessings.

2012 could mean a lot of things...some say it's the end of the world
Somehow it's also an end for me...it is the end of my twenties.

So I am making a vow that I should make my 29 count.

I leave you with lyrics from Incubus' Song
"If not Now, When"

I have waited
Dined on ashes
Swung from chandeliers and climbed Everest
And none of it's got me close to this

I've waited all my life
If not now, when will I?

We've been good
Even a blast, but
Don't you feel like something's missing here?
Don't you dare

I've waited all my life
If not now, when will I?
Stand up and face the bright light
Don't hide your eyes
It's time

No umbrellas
No sunglasses
Healing [hearing?] Hallelujah everyday

I've waited all my life
If not now, when will I?
Stand up and face the bright light
Don't hide your eyes
It's time
