Tree Frog Monday

Last week has been a very slow week and this week is not picking up pace either. There is nothing really interesting to blog about...well except I saw a tree frog stuck on the door frame last Monday. I know its lame. I mean last Monday was "Araw ng Dabaw". It's a holiday here me and my bf had no work. I was really excited to do something new...instead we just stay at home and watch DVDs. My bf is banned to go to my room so we were stuck watching the dvds on my portable dvd player outside the house. Sigh...I really should do something one of these days...

Here is the tree frog.

My Bf looks like a silly kid who had just saw something cool

...and this is my reaction.

Lusting for Gadgets

An officemate of mine is selling his Leica Dlux 3. I really really want to buy it. Unfortunately my funds would not suffice. I was looking around the internet on the prices of Leica Dlux 3 when I stumbled upon Panasonic Lumix LX3. The lenses are the same with latest Leica Dlux 4. Its cheaper. Somehow the price is reachable. I went on researching on it more and fould that I REALLY want to buy one. I had just bought a p & s camera so I have to maximize its usage before I would think about buying another camera.

It is not as pretty are the Leica counterpart but its cheaper. Its not really a DSLR but this P&S has very cool manual options.

Another gadget that is on my mind is the ipod touch. I am currently using my sister's ipod. My sister owns two ipods. One four year old ipod mini (which I am using) and a 30 gig ipod video. She really wants an iphone but she thinks it to expensive for a graduation gift. Anyways when I was asking aroung about iphone prices when my officemate recommended that buy an itouch instead. It's the same thing minus the phone part. The prices where also reachable and made me think about buying one.

candy....can't wait

I have something but I am still contemplating on what gadget I would buy first....right now all I could do is save and drool on information about the gadgets in the net.

Am not the only one with a new hair cut

Delirium...

the endless

These are some of the memorable character's in Niel Gaiman's The Sandman series. When I was in Cebu I had a lot of idle time and I was fortunate enough to have my days with the endless. An office mate lent me his sandman collection.

I can't really say what is my favorite quote because every word, line, senetence, paragraphs seems to be little jems of inspiration. Instead I will share Delirium's words at her brother's wake.

One for sorrow, two for sorrow, three for sorrow, four for for for I don't know. But I'm bored of sorrow, five for three two one, six for gold, seven for a magpie who tells me where to go...

Delirium -The Wake

I dream that someday I will also a Niel Gaiman collection. Right now there's a possibility my dream could come true. Avalon.ph is giving away a signed copy of
Interworld

The Shinning

I'm a Stephen King fan. Since high school I tried reading all of his novels and his movies. I have read The shinning even watched the mini TV series remake. I haven't watched the Stanley Kubrick version. I am a horror fanatic. I do try to watch the latest horror flicks but I also try the classics. The shinning is one of the movies I want to watch.

This film had mixed views. Even Stephen King had apprehensions with this version (he even produced a mini tv series remake later). I am not a film critic I'm more of a horror film lover so I will not dwell on how the critics received the film. The movie did deviate from the novel. Still this version has spot in my heart. Others might not like the slow pacing but for me I liked. I guess I like my horror slow. I love the vast eerie empty interiors of the Outlook view hotel. If I were a little child I would definitely loved exploring this hotel.

A horror movie would not be complete without the carnage.

This scene is just sublime. Dexter would love this then again maybe (definitely it would remind him of his Mom).

I don't recommend this to everyone. Some could fall asleep in this movie. The scary moments aren't enough. But I love Jack Nicholson's portrayal of Jack Torrence. Thought it is not faithful to the book but he is one scary Dad.
